Based on the Gold Coast, ALPG teaching pro Julie Powell offers golf tuition for people of all ages and ability to improve their game. About Julie

Julie (Bretherton) Powell, born and raised in Sydney, became the youngest Australian Judo champion at just 16 before she left the sport to concentrate solely on golf. From age 18 she was representing New South Wales, representing Australia at age 20, and turned professional at 21. As a pro Julie won three consecutive LPGA championships and represented Australia internationally- and became the President of the LPGA (now ALPG). Following her selection in the Australia-Japan series, Julie moved to Japan to become a teaching pro at Karasuyamajo Country Club.

Having been teaching for over three decades, Julie is now based at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club, and tours the north-eastern New South Wales coast to provide her specialised ladies clinics.
